I posted the lyrics of this beautiful Ghazal here, and I felt that a translation is needed and after having failed yesterday, today I have tried – here it is then, with due poetic liberties. Hope you would like it and feel the sorrow of the poet.
There are tears in my eyes
There is woe on my Mind
But oh life, for all you throw
I only love you the more
People come and people go
This world is a journey
Everyone a tourist
This life is but a journey
Light is what I need
Blackness is what I receive
There are tears in my eyes
There is woe on my Mind
But oh life, for all you throw
I only love you the more
Oh life, take a breath
Let me feel you for once
Never having seen you
Atleast let me show some love for you
Don’t leave me just yet
I need you my dearest
There are tears in my eyes
There is woe on my Mind
But oh life, for all you throw
I only love you the more
Some strange face I see
Arising out of this valley
Whose presence I sense
In my silent life?
Oh death don’t come yet
My heaven I am yet to see
There are tears in my eyes
There is woe on my Mind
But oh life, for all you throw
I only love you the more
